darkness glooming everywhere

Darkness glooming everywhere in the country. This is the contemporary state of the country. The country has been engulfed by scams. One scam doesn’t terminate and in the meantime the one suddenly comes out of the womb of mother India to vex the country. Again a gate has arrived on the shores of the country. This time the gate has come with the word chopper and has made the word choppergate to become a nightmare for the whole country.

The choppergate scam is pertinent to the VVIP helicopter dealing with the british company Agusta Westland. In the year 2000 the government of India rolled out a tender to buy VVIP helicopters for the defence minister and his delegate. The government of India set the limit of the approach of the helicopter to 18000 ft. keeping in mind the elevation of siachin glacier so that the defence minister could visit the Siachin Glacier. But after some time India’s first national security advisor Mr. Brajesh Mishra asked to extenuate the altitude of the approach of helicopters to 15000ft to annihilate the single vendor condition in the dealings and the same thing took place. After that the british company Agusta Westland won the tender. So what is the problem?  The problem is the company paid kickbacks to some middlemen in India and it is also suspected that the company also gave bribes to the former Indian Air Force(IAF) chief SP Tyagi.

But now the problem has arisen from within the Indian government. Mr. AK Antony, Defence Minister of India without the approval of any other minister sought to dismiss the transaction while Foreign Affairs Minister Salman Khurshid said that the choppers were of the best quality in their ranges and therefore the deals were not to be scrapped.

If the government can’t make consensus within itself how is it going to govern the country.

We need to look at it.

Jai Hind

Jai Bharat

Jai ma Bharti
