R.I.P. 2013

2013 indeed gone,
Some are happy while some moan,
The nation observed a great upheaval,
Although many times its economy had to cripple,
Economy was hurled down with great blow,
Progress many times had to bow,
Corruption was rife everywhere,
But who cared here,
Political paralysis escalated and continued,
Illicit works and govt. new secrets were made nude,
And success only eluded,
Retired judge and news editor were implicated,
Increment in economy was slated,
Govt. on many stance was loathed and hated,
Govt. policies were called hollow,
Many partners left it solo,
Delhi saw the rising up of a new cadre,
And the nation saw the rise of a new Gujarati leader,
People rose ahead
On govt. actions which were bad,
In corruption's clothes institutions were clad,
A party saw its sunset,
It's scion put on himself trouncing and unfavorability hat,
While a God left his magic bat,
A whistleblower was caught in sexual assault,
While an esteemed arbiter is suspected to be at fault,
And on them was cast thunder bolt,
Which was able to put their life on halt.
But there were happy moments too,
A new commencement came,
Lokpal was its name,
Nation after many years got an efficacious leader,
Who can take it ahead and higher,
And become  nation's fierce fighter.
Nation definitely saw a great transmutation,
A new change and creation.

But lets leave them all
And welcome new year,
With joy, merriment and cheer.

Barely hours old V/S World's largest democracy.

The whole media today is busy flashing news about the oath taking ceremony of Aam Aadmi Party(AAP) or about whether Congress is going to give support to it or if AAP will function efficaciously or not and in between all these things has forgotten to recollect that there are other things too on which they need to focus on besides the spicy political news.
One such news is of the demolition of hutments under the Mansarovar Park Metro Line in northeast Delhi. Bulldozers slanged and plunged the houses into dust in just a period of time. That was an action needed to be done but the authorities forgot to deal with the other part of the situation i.e. the rehabilitation of the people or compensating them with temporary alternate accommodation.
But can the authorities bearing the onus to carry out the work conduct it efficiently? Not a question to be reckoned on. We all know the answer. Our authorities can’t be attentive in matters of national vitality, so how can they be attentive and sympathetic in this one. The authorities sans making any arrangement for the affected people just debilitated their hutments in sand and went away forsaking 900 affected people to do something by themselves or face death.  Out of those 900 around 500 were children and something which is more reprehensible than ever is that 250 children of those children have not even observed their third birthday, some were only hours old and all this was done on the coldest day of month, the day after Christrmas.  When such an inexcusable and unpardonable action is set off by the authorities then what else we can expect from the nation. Today we are busy speculating the results of 2014 elections. Today we are busy predicting whether Kejriwal will transmute the face of Delhi or not. Today people are ready to protest for the strip checking of Devyani Khobragade in United States of America but who is there with these people who are not even able to notify people about their grievance and elucidate them how much pain and agony they have suffered due to this unjust and inconsequential action taken by the authorities. If something happens to any of those 500 children then also who cares. The report will not be even flashed in news and if it gets to there then also who cares. We have a complete indifferent view towards the plight faced by others. When these 500 children grow up and come to know about the deplorable act then what will they do. They will loathe their nation. They would say that, “We don’t need a nation in which we can’t be even given. “ Authorities take up to months and years to file a charge sheet against criminals or to even apprehend them but to destroy the house of weaker section of society in the coldest day of December is something which needs to be probed. The encroachment was illicit but was those 500 culpable or the perpetrators. Were those children at fault? When parties need vote then heads of big political parties go to their hutments and discuss their issues but when they really need help no one is there to help them. Are not they “Aam Aadmi” of the nation? Another problem with them is that no one is there to raise their voice. They are financially weaker and not dalits or they would have got a political leader to make them their vote bank.

Screaming Soul.

Today mankind, has become haughty,
Its character has become fitful, doubtful and with errors spotty,
We have buried our civilization,
We have forgotten that we are only God’s little creation,
God gives, gives, gives and forgives,
But man takes, takes, takes and forgets,
And wears on its insane and fatuous brain pride’s hat,
The God from whom we have been begotten,
Even that almighty has been, from our heart become oblivion and forgotten,
Today people, even, question God’s existence,
Today the clouds of confusion, pandemonium and chaos are dense,
We are made happy not by our happiness,
But by other’s grievance,
Does it indeed make any sense????
We today reckon that money is mightier than love,
And have slung out from our life the bird of dove,

A day will come,
When we will be on death’s bed,
Felling enormously and immensely sad,
For our bad deeds,
To realize that sorrows of our life are our needs,
To realize that today our needs have become our greed,
When we will be in solitude,
When death will engulf,
And everything would seem facile, insipid and dull…….

I have a rendezvous with Death

I have a rendezvous with Death
At some disputed barricade,
When Spring comes back with rustling shade
And apple-blossoms fill the air—
I have a rendezvous with Death
When Spring brings back blue days and fair.

It may be he shall take my hand
And lead me into his dark land
And close my eyes and quench my breath—
It may be I shall pass him still.
I have a rendezvous with Death
On some scarred slope of battered hill,
When Spring comes round again this year
And the first meadow-flowers appear.

God knows 'twere better to be deep
Pillowed in silk and scented down,
Where love throbs out in blissful sleep,
Pulse nigh to pulse, and breath to breath,
Where hushed awakenings are dear...
But I've a rendezvous with Death
At midnight in some flaming town,
When Spring trips north again this year,
And I to my pledged word am true,
I shall not fail that rendezvous.

They are only a you....

For their whole life they have lived for us,
Have not lived their own life much,
Their contribution is such towards us,
They have themselves left life’s enjoyable rides to help us get the success’ bus,
Now is not it our duty,
To relish their heart’s beauty,

They brought you in this world,
Protected you until you became a flying bird,
They are your mom and dad,
In whose lap you had been clad,
Till you were a cub,
They never let you be snubbed,
They taught you how to walk,
Gave you speech to talk,
They annihilated all the problems before the troubles touch thee,
In you they see,
Their life with glee,

But today we are neglecting them due to our so-called work,
Are not our duties being shirked?
We aren’t, from them apart,
We are nothing but indeed their part,
They count their souls and yours as one,
And have done,
All they can to make you become a great one,
They will always love you,
You can’t pay to their work,
Their contribution is so big that it would always be due,
For them nothing is happiness except you,
For them you are unique,
For them you are neither a fool nor a geek,
Because they seek,
In you a new them,

If you kill them,
They will till death love you even then,
As for them you are not apart,
You are nothing but only their part……

CONTEMPORARY POLITICS IN INDIA....

Indian citizens have now entered into a state of complete chaos and have been circumscribe by conundrum. The situation is that everywhere there is a path but people just don’t which path may lead to victory or which will get them trounced by the fury of time.

Now let's focus on the problem of people.  The main problem of the people is elections. India is world largest democratic country and being the denizens of India, Indians bear on their shoulders humongous onus of taking the country forward by electing leaders who are willing to do so and now the time is of elections. Some states have in recent times observed elections, while some are going to have them and in 2014 India’s one of the most debated Lok Sabha Elections are going to take place and here comes the confusion.

Now if we talk about the contemporary situation of the whole nation then we could definitely say there is a “Modi Wave” although some people would ask you to say “Modi effect” but I just like to call it MODI WAVE.
Narendra Modi at the present time is India’s most popular and beloved leader. From Hindus to Muslims, from Sikhs to Christians every religion’s devotees love Modi and this we have seen in his great rallies comprising of 5 lakh people and the way he got a sweeping victory in Gujarat Assembly Elections. In his rallies we can see people from every religion and saying that Narendra Modi is biased is a thing we should abstain from as these are spurious lines being spoken by those who can’t compete with him or just don’t get a way to challenge him. Saying that he is partisan person would be unfair, even SIT (Special Investigation Team) appointed by the honorable Supreme Court of India has given Mr. Modi a clean chit that he was not embroiled in any illegitimate and illicit activity during the 2003 Godhra riot. The other thing is MODI’s exceptional speech giving capability which is able to captivate people and this is where Rahul Gandhi trails behind. Modi has a power to enthrall people while Rahul Gandhi needs a lot to learn.

The main difference between Rahul Gandhi and Narendra Modi is that Modi has proved himself by working tremendously well in his state Gujarat. Today even Modi’s rivals have to concede that yes Modi is a something while Rahul Gandhi has not been able to do that by asserting that he has a lot to learn. If he has not learnt till now then what can the people do? Rahul Gandhi is not known as Rahul Gandhi, he is known to people as the son of Sonia Gandhi. He has not proved that yes, he can be the leader of the nation. If Rahul Gandhi would have taken any of the portfolios in the government, the situation had been different.  “You can’t beat the experience” and Rahul Gandhi needs to understand it and this time of course he has no chance as people don’t want present Prime Minister Manmohan Singh to be elected again and that’s why it would definitely take a lot of beating if Rahul wants to fight RaGa V/s NaMo.
Another thing that is exasperating Congress is that today is the time when everything is going on according to BJP and against the Congress. The lack of reforms observed by the agile and shrewd eyes of the voters in the Congress regime has been reprehensible while some plans were completely desultory and this is the main reason why on the arrival of Rahul Gandhi, people start chanting “MODI-MODI”. There is an acclaimed aphorism by Will Rogers that goes like this:
“People’s Minds are changed through observation and not through argument”

In a recent article by the Finance Minister of India Shri. P. Chidambaram named “Best if yet to come”. UPA-II has come but the best has not even sent the slightest harbinger of its arrival. That’s truly something hard to digest. People have given his so many years but still they say that the best is yet to come.  He in the article says that “Since I returned to the finance ministry, the best thing that we have done is to acknowledge the facts” but I believe that if the facts had been correctly studied before then the situation would have been a different one.

Now if we jump on to Indian government attitude diplomatic attitude then, our government lacks here too. Government‘s diplomatic stance has been a very docile one. Pakistani soldiers beheaded our soldiers inside the Indian land and escaped out unharmed but the government continued to harp about its so called non-violence. Then again Pakistani soldiers entered Indian Territory and again mutilated Indian pride by killing our soldiers and carried on illegitimate activities to facilitate the terrorists to enter inside the Indian boundary. If we come to China’s issue then China does what it wants and the government lets it do that. Chinese soldiers enter into Indian Territory set up their camps and continue to harass the northeastern state residents and government does nothing. Is our government working for us or for the Chinese and Pakistani soldiers? Suspicious. If the Chinese and Pakistani army is allowed to enter into India then unfortunate events like 26/11 are definitely going to take place and no one has to potential to save India. Despite of being such a powerful nation we allow our soldiers to be decapitated, this means that government has no respect for those who fight for the nation and give away their life.

And that’s why the condition of the nation is deplorable.

The last decision is to be taken by the people and in this article I am not endorsing any party or so. This time I just want Indian people to choose an untainted government and leader who is willing to work for the welfare of the nation and for the prosperity of the nation.
