Lucrative but Deceptive.

Lately the UPA (United Progressive Alliance) promulgated the new Food Security Bill. The food security bill which has been enacted by the government in order to woo the pauper denizens of the nation in the election time is somehow in the long run going to condemn and upbraid the whole nation.

The bill plans to distribute grains to two-third of the Indian population at 90 per cent subsidy costing over Rs. 100,000 crores.

The food security bill aims at giving people many things with nothing and is going to deteriorate the work ethics. At election time the government is just bus in pitching its permanent perpetual vote bank. This bill can be termed as the most brilliant strategy used by the UPA government to woo the voters.

But if we mull over the real welfare of the nation then I would suggest that the government should invest such a whopping amount for the amelioration of country’s business. The colossal amount of money could have been spent on roads, business, for the erection of new hospitals, dams and schools, in order to renovate the sloppy economy and such things if used warily could be used to raise the state’s revenue taxes and could be used to create new jobs and could carve out new path for entrepreneurial development. But if Congress does this thing then it would probably lose its vote bank but the thing is that if you want to lead the country then you have to do what a political party can’t do. You have to come ahead as a leader, have to think for the nation but not for election.

There are other risk factors pertinent to the bill to.

The first thing is our economy. We saw in the latest budget session, the vulnerability of the national finances as well as dearth of monetary funds being faced by country’s economy. The country’s faltering economy just can’t afford such an enormous amount. The other thing is that, what the whole India has noticed in such provisions are scams and that the money intended to be allocated to poor people have been diverted in glut to some unauthorised people. Hence the bill is not implemented impeccably at the grass root level could bear huge scams leading to tarnishing and slandering of country’s image with scam charges and accusations.

The other thing is forgery. In Karnataka around 83% people call themselves poor which the state data blatantly shows that even less than a quarter of people in the state are pauper. While last year the West Bengal government came to know that the 40% of the BPL (Below Poverty Line) card holders are in fact not at all poor and impoverished.

And in this case it looks as if the government is itself trying to make people lazy and indolent and want to create a vote bank for it rather than creating new jobs and opportunities in the country.

At last I would like to conclude that the government notwithstanding making its people lazy should help the poor people in rising above and debilitating the poverty word from the country.

Recuperating fast.

Russian Flag
Many years have passed on since the time when Union of Soviet Socialist Republics (USSR) was fragmented into 15 nations.  But after the obliteration Soviet Union many things have to be annihilated. The Soviet name, Soviet Monopoly and the breaking of arguably the most powerful nation of the world.  But one of the most crucial things that broke down was Soviet Monopoly. The whole world now tilted towards the USA forsaking the broken Soviet in solitude. The crown of world’s most powerful nation was snatched away from Soviet Union to be given to the US.  Soviet Union had till then maintained a huge dignity and friendship with the whole world and enjoyed an enormous ascendancy in many global states for example Afghanistan. Due to Russia’s geographical location (situated in Eurasia) it has been pretty easy for it to maintain its military bases and other things in many countries but now the monopoly that has been exercised by Soviet Union was in no time presided over by the United States of America  (USA). Russia took a long time to recuperate and again become resilient and during this United States took over as the world no.1 and expanded its friendship as well as power to go far ahead than Russia. Russia is still having much power but now not up to that extent and somehow its renowned power, immense spunk and humongous capabilities have crumbled away in the sand of history and the spunk, power and capabilities that it had lost would be quite impossible to be retrieved and recalled.

But now the Russia has doubtedly silently again started measures to get back the same dignity and power. Russia is making huge defence deals with countries like India and has also emerged out as one of the greatest exporter of arms while huge research work, space work etc. have again been taken on the track in order to again do an unprecedented wonder and to establish itself as a model of growth.

Russia has again started recollecting the old memories and regaining the powers. Russia is again deemed to have recommenced its power gaining programs.

Russia appears ready to again rebalance in the terrorism and crisis hit Afghanistan. It is trying to stage its re entry in Afghanistan by erecting its military camps in Afghanistan after the withdrawal of North Atlantic Treaty Organisation (NATO) forces from Afghanistan next year.  For many years Pentagon has been buying ammunitions and choppers for Afghan armed forces from Russia , but now Russia is needed for their service and to emend the equipment and to discard any problems in them and for this purpose Russia has to set up new military bases in Afghanistan.

According to Sergei Koshelev, head of Russia defence ministry’s chief administration Russia will consider various options for establishing military camps in territory of Afghanistan. But political analysts are looking towards the pitching of camps which is meant for mending of the arms is an ostensible reason and the real motive of Russia would be to cast its physical domination shadow in Afghan territory after the moving out of NATO and US forces. But contrary to this Moscow has repudiated such claims and has said that its perspective is that its ammunitions are maintained in good shapes.

But the real motive can only be adjudged in the future and claiming anything now would be being hypothetical.

Auspicious Bonding.

China’s new leadership is exhibiting auspicious and promising omens of having a sanguine relationship with India. Chinese president Mr. Xi Jinping during the BRICS (Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa) summit in Durban, South Africa has made a pitch for both the countries (India and China) to pitch strong ties. The Chinese president during the BRICS meeting proffered India to erect strong and robust military contact and to deepen trust between the two countries, State Media quoted him as saying this during his meeting with Prime Minister Manmohan Singh in Durban late on Wednesday evening.

The newly elected President of People’s Republic of China (PRC) on his first meeting with the Indian Prime Minister, on the sidelines of the recently terminated BRICS summit asked the Prime Minister to boost the defence ties urging both the nations to ponder over the declining ties between the two countries due to illegitimate insurgencies in border by Chinese military offices as well as due to the belligerent and inimical mood of China towards India.

But the ties somehow have been able to exhort the ties and bonding of the two neighbours. Besides this Chinese President also called for both the countries to soon jump on to the conclusion of the ongoing border disputes of the two countries.

According to Indian officials too Mr. Xi appears to be more eager than his predecessor to fend the Chinese relationship with India. This time with more power, enthusiasm and zeal too. China has also indicated its willingness to strengthening the ties with India by hosting a Jammu Kashmir Army officer’s delegation and also taking the delegation to facilities in Tibet for the first time in many years.

Analysts have proclaimed that Chinese administration’s this reaction has come after its recent dispute with Japan in East China Sea Islands and its soaring tensions in the South China Sea with other nations.

On the border issue Mr. Xi said that, “China and India should improve and make good use of mechanism of special representatives to strive for a fair, rational solution framework acceptable to both sides as soon as possible.” He also asked both the sides to “continue to safeguard peace in their border areas and prevent the issue from affected bilateral relations.” And also described both the countries having a similar historic mission to boost their social and economic development. Mr. Xi also said that China regards its relations with India as one of the most crucial one. Mr. Manmohan Singh, Prime Minister of India said that, “India and China would respect each other’s core interest and major concerns and will work ahead to deepen the relationship between the two countries and asked for co-operation from China too.”

The talks between both the nations have been wonderful and successful but only saying would not help. China has to show its co-operation with India to augment its diplomatic ties with India as well as strengthen the defence ties with India. If China abandons its hostile move towards India then wonders can take place in the relationship of the two countries. Both the country can work together with compatibility as well as with great zeal in order to take the relationship between the two countries to a really new level high.

On the same line.

India and America have now forgotten all their previous disputes, sorrows etc. so as to mould a new relationship that is unprecedented. Obama Administration is immensely emphasizing on lucrative Asia in order to rebalance its position and set its feet in Asia and India has also commenced its “LOOK EAST” policy and as a sequel to the policies of both the nation, the two colossal powers have given their relationship a new direction resulting in the strengthening of both the nations as well as their bonding.

The new relationship between the two countries has transformed the way both countries take a look at Asia. India being an Asian country wants to establish itself as a gargantuan power and USA, observing the humongous growth being portrayed by the Asian countries, is very excited to rebalance in Asia and is exhibiting more proclivity than ever and more tendency than it has ever shown in any other region.

Obama administration has amplified its stance on Asian countries in USA economic and foreign policies.  US Programs, trades, markets are humongously showing interest in the Asian counties and are exhibiting huge shifts towards Asian region because of its recent rapid and huge economic growth.

USA Asian policies traditionally are with the technologically advanced  Japan (For industry market) and security challenge from China but now because of India’s becoming a huge democracy, America has now made its stance clear that it is an India partner too.

US and India started their East India dialogue in the year 2010 and their major issues at the time are upholding peace and prosperity in the East Asian region and mindboggling issue is that of China. They both have seen the groundbreaking progress of China and increments in its power with its robust presence in the East Asia but neither wants to put the ultimate power in Chinese hands. Chinese military expanding etc. are major issues of concern and security challenge for both the nations but still both don’t have much to worry and are comfortable with each other in the region are trying to sustain good relations with institutions like ASEAN (Association of Southeast Asian Nations) regional forum.

Freedom of Navigation

Now India and USA have resorted to responding to the regional controversies affecting the strategic relationship with East Asia. For example in South China Sea.  China says that the in-toto South China Sea is pertinent to it only and the whole region will be only controlled by it. India and USA with ASEAN have chided this move upbraiding China’s stand on the sea and have allocated their full support for the freedom of navigation.

India’s half sea-borne trade originates as well as comes from South China Sea and if such a move is implemented by People’s Republic of China then it will amount to enormous loss to all the East Asian regions. Even ASEAN countries have also condemned China for the same. With freedom of navigation system relationship between USA, India and East Asia can ameliorate.

APEC (Asia Pacific Economic Co-operation)

The other thing is APEC. When it was started in the year 1989, India’s foreign policies were not strong and robust so APEC from making India its part but now India’s foreign policies are good and lavish as well as developed. India also gave application for enrolment but the application was caught in moratorium. Now the USA is only having the influential power to help India admit in the APEC because of its huge influence and can make India admit in the APEC easily.

Now India and US have the opportunity to help each other develop as well as set their foot in Asia to promote compatibility and the economy of both the countries.

A promising global state:India

BRICS (Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa) is inevitably sans any scepticism India’s brick of emerging and reaching the zenith of global achievements and is concrete of India’s developing and auspicious global role. Now, New Delhi has ultimately grabbed a forum where it is one of the top leaders and can carve out new roads for economic development, as well as global partnership. You all have to concur with my point that concurrently India is standing at a unique unprecedented geo-political stage. The state which is pretty high above the daily trifles with neighbours and is not too far from the pinnacle point with expanding colossal power, being a repository of brotherhood, symbol of peace and tranquillity and statue of democracy and growth.

First of all immense amount of thanks to all the great martyrs and sons of motherland who forsook their lives for the sake of the nation and specially Pt. Jawahar Lal Nehru who took the country from from the stage when it was totally impoverished and with his subtle and assiduous techniques and schemes, lifted India up to great extent and now due to the witty planning which has resulted in India’s standing on this point and now the world is watching a huge and great leader in India.

At BRICS India is having its own importance and significance. It is having its own remarkable influence in the BRICS elite. But now some serious things are needed to be done at BRICS. BRICS, as I have mentioned above, is a great as well as wonderful international forum for India where it can mould its global role and shape its global outlook.  At this intellectual forum India must seize the moment to ink down new history of development in trade, economy, science and energy policies.

In BRICS India can regulate as well as boost trade in order to support the economy and to brace for challenges ahead. Growth of a country lies solely on its economy and India therefore has good time for penning down new trade ties and other economy boosting ways and is having a pretty good chance to galvanise partners (Russia, China, Brazil, South Africa),for its lucrative economy, who will work ahead with India in order to inflate and soar the growth and economy of India.

The BRICS partners (especially Russia and China) are immensely powerful and developed in defence sector and India can make good deals with them in this segment to ameliorate the efficiency of the nation in Military, Navy as well as Air Force.

Then, comes Science. Russia has already proved its efficacy and has accomplished huge success in Science sector and mainly in Space technology while China is also developing its Space technology and plans to send Chinese manned ships in the space by 2016 and is also preparing to build space stations by the next five years. Other science sectors like Medicine can also be developed with helps and co operation from these country and India should look at that.

In solar energy, turbine power plants etc. India can also look for great work and partnership with countries and can emerge triumphant in these fractions.

A last word

India is a great developing nation and current is having many options and BRICS can prove to be a great path and stair for India to move ahead and establish its identification as a great leader in world’s fields. Therefore India should use the BRICS platform very ingeniously and cunningly to move ahead.

Burying the hatchets.

China lately turned on a new chapter in its leadership with new cadre in power which in no time of assuming power proclaimed its proclivity of enhancing its comprehension with other countries and the anticipation as well as its tendency for a better bonding with other global states was heartily welcome by India.

But now the fog seems to be rising up and the smog shrouding the real meaning of the prediction. China and India are likely to face the old challenges notwithstanding new rulers in China.

The newly elected President of People’s Republic of China Mr. Xi Jinping is going to hold his maiden international meeting as Chinese President with India on 26 March in BRICS (Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa) summit in Durban, South Africa.

Chinese leaders have not rolled out any cue or indication of how the Chinese government is going to have talks with the Indian delegation at Durban. Although Mr. Xi in a meeting with journalists of BRICS country said that he is going to walk on the bridge of five proposals with India which would comprise of:-

1.     Maintaining strategic communication.

2.     Keeping ties on right track.

3.     Expanding cooperation in infrastructure.

4.     Mutual investment.

5.     Strengthening cultural ties.

6.     Increasing coordination on multi-lateral affairs

7.     Accommodating each other’s core concerns.

But the thing that prevails in Mr. Xi statement is that China is indifferent on Indian topic and is reluctant to discuss Sino-Indian relationship and is procrastinating the areas of core importance and ergo the give points of proposal moved by the new Chinese President were the same issue which were raised by his predecessor former Chinese President Hu Jintao.

Since taking on the power of China in hand the Chinese top leadership has been indulged in its internal matters and India also doesn’t feature in its top international priorities.

China’s main topic are pertinent to USA which is trying to set its feet in Asia and the other is dispute over the Senkaku island with Japan in East China sea and reports from Beijing official proclaim that China’s top priorities contemporarily are USA, Russia and Japan.

Albeit India is not a top priority of China but still India and China are each other’s key partners.

According to Indian consulate is China, Beijing companies are executing $55 billion worth the projects in India which is more than in any other nation and according to Communist Party of China’s (CPC) official newspaper “The People’s Daily” China is investing its main interest in India and both the countries can be compatible with each other.

If the reports and the sentiments of China towards India are true then it’s an awesome thing and both the countries can support each other’s development; but how they are going to do it is something that is pretty mesmerizing and enthralling to be watched out for and both the countries should first discuss matters of border concerns and China’s abetment to Pakistan and other issues which are working as the apple of discord between the two nations and are separating two great powers from working with each other for the welfare of the world and more importantly for the welfare of their denizens.

Miracles taking place.

India is a land of miracles and here miracles take place incessantly. Again a miracle is sprouting out here, ready to astound those who rebuke it and to shut down the mouths of critics and to prove itself worthy. Initial progress by the miracle is just a herald and in the long run this one is going to become an exemplary one.

CM of Bihar
Nitish Kumar
Bihar has lately become a good omen of growth for the whole nation. Once Bihar was a state sweltering with the heat of oppression. The state which was once replete with the putrid of crime is emerging out from the darkness. The place where “Gundaraj” used to loom large and the place where the morning of justice didn’t used to cast its spell over the people. The state where the voice of freedom of bourgeois never used to reverberate. But the aforementioned miracle took place there. The miracle of administration has again proved that a good dedicated leadership with intelligentsia administration replenished with the dream and desire to work hard to eliminate injustice, obliterate the criminals and empower the people.

Bihar has admitted a registered GDP (Gross Domestic Product) of 12 percent per year for eight years which is the fastest among major Indian states and is a presage that in coming years Bihar is going to give tough competition to big states like Gujarat, New Delhi etc. Bihar’s this progress has portrayed that good governance can transform everything.

Bihar once known as a place where children didn’t used to go to schools and where illiteracy was prevalent has now turned to a new leaf of life. In Bihar social progress was gigantic and incredible this time. The state recorded an augmentation in literacy level with 17% in the decade 2001-2011 and female literacy hiked at even more speedy rate with 20% increment.

There used to be a time when due to less developed medical condition and sanitary system Bihar was far worse than the national average in life expectancy but now it has nearly equalled the Indian life expectancy average. (Bihar’s life expectancy=65.8 years, and national 66.1 years). Bihar’s death rate has also plummeted to 6.7 per thousand against the national death rate.

Such a wonderful boost in these figures is wonderful and praiseworthy. Bihar with such a great progress has become a repository of good governance and miracles.

But still some darker areas are left. Bihar is having lowest ratio of social spending per capita and is India’s poorest state. Rural poverty in 2004-09 just declined by 0.4% against the national 8.2%(because of a major draught in the year 2009).

But some factors like curtailed migration of Bihar, are exhibiting that the prosperity of the state is soaring day by day.

Bihar has a good potential to emerge out as a great state in India and can work ahead to produce a good example of governance in india.
