The whole India contemporarily is shrouded by the upcoming
enigmatic 2014 elections. Nothing is more anticipated than the question- Who is
going to lead the nation for the next five years? Everywhere you can observe
people predicting the results of upcoming elections and one thing about which
we can’t be evasive is that the coming elections are going to be one of the
most decisive elections in the history of India and will have an unparalleled
say in the arbitration of the future of the nation.
Choices are definitely clear and lucid this time. Although
Congress is reluctant to reveal its Prime Minister candidate but the whole
nation knows that if Congress and allies fare well then Rahul Gandhi is an
unopposed choice of being the Prime Minister, BJP has already openly proclaimed
that the popular Narendra Modi will become the Prime Minister of the nation if
NDA clinches victory this time and if we talk about the fledgling Aam Aadmi
Party(AAP) then there is little chance of it forming government at the center
but if party does then Arvind Kejriwal would definitely, willingly or
unwillingly lead the nation and if we look at the third front then they
themselves don’t know who will be their leader.
One thing that is a matter of fact here is that the 2014
voter will be a different one. People are definitely not going to look out for
your family, background etc. but what is attracting the people to vote this time
is “CHANGE” and whoever is ready to bring the change will take the baton of
Prime Ministership forward. People are completely blind and indifferent on
other topics. They are just going to see whether you have brought out changes at
the grass root level, whether you have controlled inflation, whether you have
revived economy, are you able to give nation a stable government. These will be
the main topics to watch out for this time.
Let’s first talk about Congress. INC (India National
Congress) this time has to harshly deal with the noxious and punitive
anti-incumbency factor. Due to unsuccessful stint of UPA-II which remained
engulfed by the monstrous scams and policy paralysis, people are very much discontented
with the party.
The other thing that has been proving as a nightmare to the
dreams of Congress party is the unpopular image of Manmohan Singh, the current
Prime Minister of India. Manmohan Singh was elected as the Prime Minister due
to his untainted image and economy understanding but unfortunately Mr. Singh
failed on both the topics. He was himself suspected to be embroiled the
Coalgate Scam during the allocation of Coal Blocks to various companies and
economy also observed a serious break down with exuberant rise in prices of the
commodities. Inflation increased, business decreased, policy paralysis existed
and haplessly Mr. Singh could not control all these things and failed the Brand
India.
The new face of Indian National Congress (INC) is Rahul
Gandhi. Although he has been the face of Congress for a long time but this time
it’s sure that if party wins then he will inevitably the Prime Minister of the
nation. Rahul Gandhi has himself battered his image. His image has been of a
congressman rather than of a countryman.
He calls himself leader of youth but whenever youths have resorted to
protest against unfair things, he has not been there to support them. He is
away from the hot trending topics and is supposed to be interested in the works
of the party only. Even in his speeches
we observe this fact. He says that Congress gave nation this that etc. but
never asks what people have actually gotten. He is ready to talk about the
promulgation of laws rather than their proper implementation and execution.
The next thing is that Rahul Gandhi has never ever given
people the chance to know about his unrevealed potential. People just don’t
know whether Rahul Gandhi is able to take the nation forward or not as he has
always been busy with his party only. Running a party is a different thing and
running a government is a totally different thing. The other thing is that
people have also come to know that taking a nation forward is not in anybody’s
genes and this has also been proven by Atal Bihar Vajpayee. Rahul Gandhi still
needs to go a long way.
Talking about Arvind Kejriwal’s AAP , the party has proved to be a total mess and
has disappointed the whole state of Delhi. AAP has backed out of all the
promises it had made to the people of Delhi, his dharnas have become infamous
and notorious. Today authorities fear that if they take action against the
wrong doing of the AAP workers then the “self-proclaimed anarchist” Kejriwal
will sit on Dharnas to out then for their honest work. He has completely
digressed from all the issues on which he was elected. He even threatened to
disrupt the 26th January function and has used bad language against
the Home Minister of the nation. Kejriwal talks about women empowerment but his
own party members mole women, raid their houses at midnight and call these
women prostitutes. Electricity outages and acute water shortages are prevalent
in the state of Delhi. This shows that Kejriwal needs to learn how to run a
government rather than teaching others on how to sit on Dharnas.
Next is BJP. BJP’s Narendra Modi is the most charismatic and
popular leader in the nation who knows how to lead the nation and he has proved
this by his great development work in Gujarat. He has given the whole nation
proof that he can run the government and nation well and better than any other
person and the other thing is court has also given him a clean chit exonerating
him from the bruises of 2002 Gujarat riot. He is definitely worthy of getting a
chance.
What can we say about the third front? Parties are competing
with each other under one name. Everyone wants to become the PM but are not
able to give the nation a stable government.
The upcoming elections are going to be great and decisive.
This time Indian people will fight for a change. Let’s see whether the change
will come or not.
Jai Hind, Jai Bharat
Jai Ma Bharti
