A Great one

Today I am going to write about one of the world's best prime ministers in the history. I am going to write about MR. Pamulaparti Venkata Narasimha Rao, former Prime Minister of India. Popularly known as P.V. Narasimha Rao he has been one of the most visionary prime ministers of India and the one who did everything to augment and bolster the economic growth of the country. He was a prime minister who was even ready to give up his life for the welfare of his country. He was a real leader, he was a real politician.

P.V. Narasimha Rao was born on 28 June 1921 at Laknepally village -Near Narsampet in Warangal District to a Niyogi Telugu Brahmin family. He was an indian politician and a great leader who served as the ninth Prime Minister from 1991 to 1996. His father's name was P. Ranga Rao and his mother's name was Rukminiamma. They both hailed from agrarian families.

He studied Bachelor's in Arts College at Osmania University and later went on to Fergusson college of University of Pune. From the beginning he has been a very good scholar. In addition to eight Indian languages (Telugu, Hindi, Urdu, Oriya, Marathi, Bengali, Gujarati, Tamil), he spoke English, French, Arabic, Spanish, German, Greek, Latin and Persian.

He was an active Indian Independence activist and joined full time politics after independence and joined the Indian National Congress (INC). He first served brief stints in Andhra Pradesh state cabinet and then became the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh. Even today he is commemorated as a very great and elegant leader for his land reforms and many other reforms pushed through by him in Andhra Pradesh.

Mr. Rao was a staunch supporter of Former Indian prime minister Mrs. Indira Gandhi, and during the split he was with Indira Gandhi. He also gave huge support to Mrs. Gandhi during the emergency period. He held many portfolios in the government of Indira Gandhi as well as Rajiv Gandhi like Home, Defence and Foreign Affairs. He almost retired from politics in 1991, but it was Rajiv Gandhi's assassination that gave him a comeback in the politics. He was voted as the head of the government. He was the first person out of the Nehru-Gandhi family to hold the post of a Prime Minister. In his cabinet Mr. Sharad Pawar was chosen as the defence minister and Dr. Manmohan Singh (present Prime Minister of India) was opted as the Finance minister.

He is the only person behind the growth of Indian economy. During his reign he pushed through many reforms. He proposed to open the Indian markets for foreign investment and increased investment in infrastructure.

Major reforms in India's capital markets led to an influx of foreign portfolio investment. The major economic policies adopted by Rao include:

·    Abolishing in 1992 the Controller of Capital Issues which decided the prices and number of shares that firms could issue.

·    Introducing the SEBI Act of 1992 and the Security Laws (Amendment) which gave SEBI the legal authority to register and regulate all security market intermediaries.

·    Opening up in 1992 of India's equity markets to investment by foreign institutional investors and permitting Indian firms to raise capital on international markets by issuing Global Depository Receipts (GDRs).

·    Starting in 1994 of the National Stock Exchange as a computer-based trading system which served as an instrument to leverage reforms of India's other stock exchanges. The NSE emerged as India's largest exchange by 1996.

·    Reducing tariffs from an average of 85 percent to 25 percent, and rolling back quantitative controls.(The rupee was made convertible on trade account.)

·    Encouraging foreign direct investment by increasing the maximum limit on share of foreign capital in joint ventures from 40 to 51% with 100% foreign equity permitted in priority sectors.

·    Streamlining procedures for FDI approvals, and in at least 35 industries, automatically approving projects within the limits for foreign participation.

Not only in Economy, he also made us overcome in the field of national security. He tried to make good relations with China, United States of America. He launched the Look East Policy which is benefitting the country a lot. Rao energised the national nuclear security and ballistic missiles program, which ultimately resulted in the 1998 Pokhran nuclear tests. It is speculated that the tests were actually planned in 1995, during Rao's term in office, and that they were dropped under American pressure when the US intelligence got the whiff of it.
Rao also had great interest in literature. He was also an acclaimed poet and used to do many poetries. He was applauded by many for his poems.

But in the last time of his life  he faced many problems. According to a vernacular source, despite holding many lucrative posts he faced many financial troubles. One of his sons was educated with the assistance of his son-in-law. He also faced trouble in paying fees for a daughter of his who was then studying medicine. According to PVRK Prasad, an IAS officer who was Narasimha Rao's media advisor when the latter was Prime Minister, Rao asked his friends to sell away his house at Banajara hills to clear the dues of advocates.  Rao was afraid of dying before clearing his dues to the lawyers.

On 9 December 2004, he left us all to go to heaven and died due to a heart attack. He was even operated in AIIMS, but the doctors couldn’t save this great soul and he left us all.

A visionary legend.

The momentum of the Gujarat Polls is soaring day by day. Big political leaders are emerging out as there is less time left for the elections. Now even the congress scion Rahul Gandhi has stepped to preach and endorse the Congress and to stop BJP from again come victoriously in the Assembly polls. Big leaders have commenced targeting other opposing parties and counting the mistakes and goof ups that occurred during their regime. And Narender Modi has also become pretty active in the Election Campaign. Rahul Gandhi stepped into the campaign and tried to assault and tarnish the image of Narender Modi, so Narender Modi was also not behind, he also reverted to the attack in a very shrewd way. Let's forsake gaining notification about the Campaign and jump to my point of view.
In my perspective I consider and deem Mr. Narender Modi as the most optimal Chief Minister of Gujarat. If he wins this time it would be his hat-trick and this blatantly portrays that people are also happy with the Narender Modi reign. His dedication to the state and his works for the state clearly shows that he is a dedicated and wonderful person trying to surpass and clear every hurdle to make his state a superior one. The literacy rate, HDI and many other factors of the state have hiked tremendously since Modi took over the Chief Ministership. His wonderful oratory that knows how to convince people is also one of the crucial things that a chief minister should have. His leadership skills also give him an edge over his rivals. Various schemes to uplift and enhance the life of people of Gujarat have also helped the state to come up. The schemes like Sadbhawna Mission, Vibrant Gujarat etc. have also become an inspirational source for the whole nation and have ameliorated the condition of the state enormously physically, mentally and financially. He is not only popular in India but outside India he is also a renowned leader. Nations like Great Britain, United States of America etc. have lauded his good works done for the welfare of the people of the state.
He is definitely a great leader. But the people of Gujarat have to choose their leader and I can't do anything in it.

STOP IT

India got independence from the British colonial rule in 1947 and now we have passed 65 years of independence and have made new histories. We have shown tremendous growth and augmentation in every field whether it is science, technology, medicine, education etc. We have shown the whole world that India is a great nation. We are having the oldest known civilization in this whole world. We are behind no one and are one of the fastest growing nations of this world.
But there is a drawback in everything as nothing in this world is completely flawless or pristine. With great power and history came great and ingrained evils of the society. Albeit we have been able to eradicate many social evils like untouchability and many others but still we are far behind gaining the real success in uprooting them. One of the most prevailing evils in India is "Caste System".
Caste System is an important factor in slow development of India. Although we all say that the caste system has been completely abolished by still there is a long way to go. The caste system is an evil that is hampering the unification of India from the beginning. It has been established in India for a long time. People of upper caste suppress the people of lower castes and are taking the rights and privileges they deserve from them. The people of lower castes are being tormented very severely. They are not permitted to talk to the people of lower castes, and sometimes they are even deprived of the most vital thing that constructs a man i.e. education. They are not allocated with even the basic necessities of life and they are not even able to live a frugal life. I am not saying all these things without proof. I am having a clear and outright proof of all the things that I have said. You can see the honour killings which are still done for people's honour. Inter caste marriages are prohibited and not allowed in India. People of lower caste are treated like a beast and are not permitted for even speaking for even their normal rights and things that they should get. It is not the fact that government is not doing anything for these people but the plans by the government have not been perfectly implemented due to intermediaries who use things given to the lower caste people for themselves.
But I want to ask something from everyone. We all have blood in ourselves, have the same skin and body and have got same organs so how are we people different from each others. How can you distinguish the people sent by the God. God created humans and humans created castes. This is awkward.
We are not different and are one who can't be separated by anyone or anythings as we have same body function, same body, blood. And in this great India no one can snatch away the rights of those who deserve.
                                                    SO BE WITH EACH OTHER

THINK OVER IT

In India nowdays there are numerous of turmoils. Sometimes there is a pandemonium created by Mr. Arvind Kejriwal and sometimes by FDI, corruption, scams and many other things. We all have now got used to this thing. Everywhere there is a same news in media or in newspaper and frankly speaking I have completely got fed up of all these things. But there is someone who would be happy to see all these things, as they are going to a clear and outright advantage from these things. That is the opposition parties. They are considering all these opportunities as a real gold and think that 2014 elections are cakewalk for them. And it was. They really got so many opportunities that anyone in their place could deem the 2014 Lok  Sabha Elections as child's play. But here comes the problem. For a long time opposition parties have been relishing the moment but now they have almost lost all the reasons to be happy. Congress party paved all the way for them to succeed but the fighting between the leaders of the opposition parties and discord between them and the most important thing "Null unity and integrity" have marred their image. The Purti Power ltd.'s case was a good way for a better comeback for the congress and Congress unlike its opponents, thrives on doing this thing.
The opposition parties are themselves giving congress the opportunities to come ahead and prove itself the sole party having the caliber to run the country. They are themselves doing so many mistakes that congress is not even getting a chance to make them do.
If opposition parties want to do something then they have to do something seriously and take every step in a very serious and shroud way.

Support him.

The whole India concedes the fact that Narender Modi is a great, charismatic and wonderful leader. No doubt that his words contain magic and contemporarily there is no one in our India who can compare with the works done by Narender Modi. He is a wonderful chief minister of Gujarat. Gujarat has been flourishing since Modi took over the chief ministership. Religions have been promoted and many things have been done so as to ensure that Gujarat augment its success series financially, socially. And the state has also succeeded in its motto. One of the greatest leaders of the present time Smt. Sushma Swaraj also gave Modi a green flag and said that he is completely fit to lead the country and to become the Prime Minister. All these things clearly show that Modi is a great leader.
His corruption free image in public, his wonderful and persuasive oratory skills have also earned him many praises and lauds.
But it's a truly acclaimed fact that "No one is pristine or flawless". Modi's inefficiency to control the 2002 Godhra Communal Riots tarnished his image (but very little). Some Muslims consider and deem him as the foe of Islam. But in my point of view it was not his inefficiency. Modi was not able to restrain the riots due to many reasons. There was a situation of animosity between Hindus and muslims and at that time it was pretty difficult to stop them from resorting to riots as people of both the religion were aggressive. The commissions set up by the government of the Indian government have also given Narender Modi a clean chit. And now many Muslims have also started viewing him as their leaders.  His various policies for the amelioration for the Muslims have also done wonders. His "Sadbhavna Mission" has been a success and many Muslims were also present there.
All these things show that he is a great as well as a secular leader and is having no hatred for any religion.
So, in my point of view everyone should be with this great, corruption free leader.

FDI

FDI

Here comes the FDI in India. After such a long tussle the government of India has ultimately won a clear majority in Parliament in order to ensure that the FDI is going to come in India. After such a long journey replenished of protests, rebuke and condemnation the government of India has finally emerged out victoriously. In Lok Sabha everyone was sure that the government is having a clear majority, if parties such as BSP(Bahujan Samaj Party) and SP(Samajwadi Party) don't vote, and the same thing happened BSP and SP abstained from voting and became neutral and Congress got a clear majority in the Parliament. In Rajya Sabha the way was little harder than the Lok Sabha but in Rajya Sabha BSP(Bahujan Samaj Party){fearing government's resentment and Central Bureau of Investigation} paved the way for the government to have a clear-cut with a clear majority in the parliament. SP's abstinence also played a major role here helping the government to crush the confidence of Opposition Parties and get what it want "A reform edge" that will help them woo the big industrialists and businessmen in the 2014 elections.
Now lets talk about FDI. FDI is just like a coin having two faces, one with sweet consequences and the other with dire. If FDI comes in India, the middlemen who exploit the farmers to earn profits will be exterminated as big firms like WAL-MART will buy things directly from the farmers. But if so many big companies are going to invest in India, will not the prices of things rise. Will our small retailers and shop-keepers be able to work? Will those big companies give small term loans to farmers and poor people? Will the growth of the nation continue to be at the pinnacle? And what will happen to the small retailers who have to do a lot of work to make their both ends meet? Will not they face any competition? Will not there be a monopoly of foreign companies in Indian Market?
There are many questions and we have to be very careful.

LOOK AT IT.

From the beginning the western nations were not ahead of us but in 1757, we experience a huge drawback as we were defeated by the forces of Robert Clive in the battle of Plassey, and this battle marked the arrival of Britishers in the country and that annihilated the our great, rich image. India was considered a golden bird, as it was one of the richest nations in the world but Britishers exploited us and took away all our wealth and made us one of the impoverished nations of the world. Our manufacturing was completely debilitated, our style and our money, all were lost and we had nothing. But we tried desperately to ameliorate our situation and did well in the past years. We are now one of the best nations of the world, and we are having the second largest army of the world and many other things. But after the departure of Britishers, as our confidence was shattered into pieces, we thought of looking to the West. To be inspired from advanced and developed nations like USA, England and many others. We were aiming to become like them and just mulling over how to reach upto their mark. But now times have transformed. Our new leaders changed the aim and we adopted "LOOK EAST Policy" and that was one of the greatest change in the present in India. Now we are conveying a message to the whole world to look to east and are creating an inspiration for this whole world. And the world has also started thinking our way. In east we having nations like Russia, China etc. which have done beautiful and splendid works. Now we have stopped thinking of reaching the Western countries  and are trying to make good relations and bonds with Eastern Countries. We are again developing our old styles and cultures which is pretty good for us. This policy has benefited us a lot and this blatantly portrays that we are on the right way.
Now we are unstoppable.
