Let's talk about it

Today let’s mull over and talk about an issue which our politicos fear to moot and that topic is OUR SOCIAL DIVISIONS.

From the very beginning the UNITED India has been disunited many times and the most amusing thing is that we have, all times been astutely disintegrated on the basis of our Religious system.

Swami Vivekananda once quoted, “The religion does not teach to hate, it does not create division amongst human beings.”

The words have been utterly flawless because religion is just a group of people who follow the same ideology, it teaches us to promote harmony and follow the almighty and it does not has any connection with violence or acrimony with other religions. This is the simple concept of religion which even the great Swami Vivekananda endorses, but the problem that we face today here is that the Karma-Bhumi, the land of Gods, India has misunderstood the concept of religion thereby using it as a lame excuse to be  put forward as the answer to a communal brawl or riot. That’s the truth. Those who gave birth to the concept of religion have been unable to make the Indian posterity unravel its mystery and that’s the main reason of our downfall.  India’s civilization, India’s cultural heritage has just been down because of the misconception of the concept of the sacred practice of religion. Everyone from Britishers to our politicos, have befooled the moron and blind people who have taken the great religion for the wrong way and this is where we lack.

First came Britishers who with their policy of “Divide and Rule” shattered our great so-called cultural harmony and ruled over us for more the 150 years. They instigated Muslims and Hindus against each other debilitating the feeling of being Indian in them and ruled over us. They made us fight like cats and dogs and enjoyed the entertainment making us objects of fun and laughing stocks and nothing else. Just due to our being foolish they compared us to dogs and at last when there was no way out situation for them they broke us into pieces on the basis of our religion making a separate Muslim state of Pakistan which even today rebuts to cooperate with India on any issue making the way a bed of thorns and exacerbating the situation adversely this was about the policy of britishers who used us as puppets dividing us on every aspect.

If we come to the present scenario the today we face a problem more dangerous than that.

First let’s talk about terrorism. Terrorists place the argument that what they did was just in the service of great “ALLAH” and that they are ready to quit their life for ALLAH but do you think that they are correct. Definitely not. The great Allah who spent his life preaching peace and telling all that peace is the only way through which you can get to him can never ever preach mass killing of people. The great God who told that eternal peace is Allah and nothing else, can’t ask his devotees to kill innocents. As I have never read Islam I don’t know much about it but I can with full confidence say that Allah can’t be happy over the killing of innocuous and benign people who are mowed down by these terrorist. Will that Allah be happy to see bloodshed of innocents? Will that Allah be happy to see some people flouting his rules? The basic concept of Islam is peace and nothing else. Islam is completely based on harmony in the whole world not the terrorism. The main problem is Islam has been misconstrued by the terrorists and their forefathers who made them indulge in such thing because Allah can’t promote violence as he himself is the synonym of eternal peace and solace.

Now let’s come to the Indian politicians. They come and befool us. They come and tell the Muslims and Hindus or other political parties are against them and then just take advantage of us using their rhetoric and sham messages. This is the real truth, believe me. These people just don’t know how to rule but continue to do so for years befooling the intelligent population of India. Our politicians continue to beat our intelligentsia by dividing us in such a way that is embarrassing and shameful.

But it’s not the Einstein brain of our politicos that defeat our brain but it is the great misconception that misleads us to the ditch of failure. It is your own brain which destroys your desire and this is only our brain which leads to our destruction through the hands of our infamous leaders. Believe me. We come to start communal riots just because someone has said that Hindus are not good for Muslims and Muslims are not good for Hindus. Are not we one of the biggest fools on Earth? Yes we are.

The only way to get out of this dirty situation is religion. We need to understand religion right in order to succeed. We need understand the concept of God, Allah, Swami Vivekananda in our life and then only we can diminish the darkness from our life and give way to light of knowledge to enter our life.

Water cooperation issues and challenge (2)

A sanguine poet and great visionary of Mughal Period Abdur Rahim Khan Khana once said:

Rahiman Pani rakhiye, bin pani sab soon
Pani gaye na ubre, moti manus chun

The above said lines deftly signify the real vitality of the water resources in our life and today I am here to talk with all of you on an issue that needs an exigent attention, a humongous address of the society and that issue is water scarcity. Today we have a strong demand to talk on this issue but before proceeding I would like to ask you people not to limit it to a competition but use this forum to promote the cause, to do something for the humanity. Today every society having its root in the earth is confronted with the problem of scarcity. We, human being have taken water resources allocated to us, by God for granted and that’s why we are facing the problems today. Due to non-judicious use and over exploitation of water resources by the human beings today we all are facing the grave danger of the extinction of water and ultimately our life.

But wait! You have heard that oceans make up 71% of the Earth’s surface, then why to worry about it. We are having an abundant supply of water and needn’t worry it. It’s going to even last for thousands of years, but that’s not true. As you can see in this slide, (Info) then again a question arises, why we need to conserve the water, we all sitting here are definitely going to live with water. But unfortunately even that thing is not true. NCIWRD has estimated that in the next 12 years which means that in the year 2025 India is going to become water stressed country and after 25 years from 2025 we are going to become water scarce country and it’s for sure that we are going to live for the next 62 years for better life we need to conserve water as that day is not far when we are facing a brobdingnagian need to manage our resources or we will be lost in the pages of history.

Now I have told you about the problem, but where is the answer. OK I give you the answer.

We can solve the problem of water scarcity by two ways and that are water conservation and water cooperation.

Water conservation refers to conservation of water for the sake of sustainability or for future generations so that they are not devoid from this precious god gifted source while water cooperation refers to peaceful and ingenious management of water resources between two riparian states or nations or societies so that we get the maximum benefit from our water resources.

Now what’s more crucial Water cooperation or water conservation?

As far are my knowledge goes water cooperation is much more necessary that water conservation. Water conservation is necessary but cooperation deftly slips the issue of Water cons, to the second place. For example in the African continent, almost every country shares a transboundary river but 60% which means that around 52 rivers out of 84 rivers lack any cooperation between different nations. If we cooperate on the African waters then we can provide water to more than 320 million people and can take water to every household.  Another example is of Ganges-Brahmputra Basin- which includes India, China, Nepal, Bhutan and Bangladesh. All these countries cooperate on Ganges-Brahmputra Basin and around 500 Million people get benefitted from this treaty. Abu Dhabi Dialogue consists of seven Arab Countries which come together to cooperate on water issues therefore leading to humongous management of water resources and this is the possible reasons that today Arab Countries are getting ample supply of water for their people. Pakistan too is getting most of its water due to Indus River treaty with India which was signed in 1960. Indus river is the life line of Pakistan and without it, Pakistan can’t even sustain for one single day.  This is the power of Water Cooperation. This is why we need to cooperate; this is why we need cooperation. From your classroom to an international forum you have to cooperate or there will be no results.

Now the question is that are we competent to cooperate? I don’t think so. Let’s first talk about our motherland India. India has given very low and dismal output on the forum of water cooperation. I am having facts for it. Let’s for example take Krishna River. Krishna river flows from Maharashtra to Karnataka and then to the North of Andhra Pradesh and all the states continue to fight for the lion share of the river and during the tussling a large amount of water escapes out. The same is in Kaveri River. Kaveri River has been a major source of controversy between the states of Karnataka.  Now on international forum again there is not cooperation. China’s continuous attempts to divert waters from Brahmaputra river are raising major concerns in the overall hydrological dynamics of South and South-east Asia and if China succeeds in doing what it wants then more than 2 Billion people from Asia will be affected. Today more than 166 rivers out of the total 276 transboundaries rivers lack cooperation leading to the loss of a humongous amount of water.

Do we only need cooperation on Fresh water sources? No need cooperate on marine water. No we have a need to define the boundaries of our oceans too. As oceans have been a major source of fossil fuels, countries fight for the marine water leading to huge discontentment. So we need to cooperate on marine water too.

Today we have a strong and robust need to cooperation, cooperate on an issue which affects us all. From a newborn baby to a 90 year old man from a destitute to a rich man and that issue is water. Cooperate on water issues and save life that’s the simple formula apply it and you are going to definitely win the challenge.

Guards without Guard.

Do you know what is the latest trend in Indian and Pakistani diplomatic ties are? Its simple. An amusing game named "You break it, We follow it".

Pakistan has been continuously flouting the ceasefire agreement erected between the two global states and India has been continuously like a naive child letting Pakistan do so, without any objection or repudiation. Without any objection, yes sans any objection (That's true from Mr. AK Antony's statement of persons dressed in Pakistan Army Uniforms).

Lately five Indian soldiers were mowed down by 20 Pakistani Army men. This handiwork of Pakistan was a very vicious and reprehensible one. Some days ago too Pakistan, violating the ceasefire, conducted the same sort of actions which hurt the sentiments of the whole Indian subcontinent making every Indian flew into rage, but fortunately it was great fortune of Pakistan that India has got such a languid government or just after some seconds of the incident, it would have been impossible for you to locate a country named Pakistan on map. That's the truth.

But according to my perspective, "when you are wounded, it is not the enemy who succeeds, it is you who fail." And this is simply the case of India. Indian soldiers were killed due to the goof ups and loopholes of Indian side, it was not due to the valor of Pakistani (Practice of flouting rules can't be termed as a valor).

The main problem that we are facing today is that we never learn from the past. Our government never learns from the past. Some days back when Pakistani soldiers decapitated a martyr of Indian army, why didn't the government asked the military to show Pakistan what it is. The answer remains shrouded as even this time our UPA Government (not our Defense Minister) is crafting ways for the Pakistan to escape through the loopholes created by the statement of Defense Minister of India. When even Indian government is not with the people of India then who else can you expect to be with India. Indian government is itself enervating its stance on International level, what else can we expect.

Compare the two statements:-
1. A.K. Antony- Ambush was carried out by approximately 20 heavily armed terrorists along with persons dressed in Pakistan army uniforms.

2. Indian army- Ambush was carried out by approximately 20 heavily armed terrorists along with soldiers of Pakistan army.

Great difference must be observed. Indian government wants to say that the Pakistani army is not the perpetrator while some terrorists conducted the assault while the Indian army alleges the army for the attack.
-------------- Great coordination between the Indian authorities.

Pakistan's stability is good for Indian side is an outdated concept, but still I don't know why many cabinet ministers continue to look on at this issue. We are going to face the same situation no matter who is ruling the country because in Pakistan army is the one who decides what to do on international forum not the government. United States of America unraveled the fact and called the CoAS (Chief Of Army Staff) of Pakistan to talk on the issue of Afghanistan, but why India side doesn't want to understand the same thing is miffing me. Pakistan, can declare war against other countries and their Prime Minister would come to know about the war from media channels. That's for sure.
In Pakistan Democracy or dictatorship doesn't mind, something that matters is army which instructs the Prime Minister on the diplomatic relations with other countries. This is how work is coordinated there. It does not matter whether Musharraf or Nawaz Sharif is there, only CoAS matter there and India needs to talk with the CoAS.

Now, Indian government places the argument that it is strengthening the hands of Pakistan's Prime Minister but the veritable truth is that it is at the same time enervating the feet of Indian side creating trenches in the Indian diplomatic ties. Pakistan observes the situation the same way and that's why continues breaking the treaties and ties between the two countries and this is the real situation.

I am having one more fact with me. Do you know that Indian government is very resolute and firm? Even if General Bikram Singh is slayed down by the Pakistani army, Indian government will maintain the decorum of the border and will not retaliate back.

Now I have a question for the Indian army as well as the Indian government? How Pakistani army intruded to such a long distance inside the Indian boundary? Is not there anyone on the borders? If this is true, then it would have been a child's play for the terrorists to enter into the Indian boundaries. It might be possible that masterminds behind different blasts and attacks on Indian subcontinent would used to go to the Indian borders for a morning walk or to teach their children the tactics of stepping into the borders of different countries.

Is this the condition of world's 2nd largest army. Is this how the security of the world's second largest population. Is this the condition of Indian government that we can't even defend our borders. If this condition persists then what will happen after the exit of American forces from Afghanistan when Taliban would be there with Pakistani army. How 20 people killed our soldiers and remained unwounded. Shameful. Need a lot to learn.

Why India never learns is still very flabbergasting. Worst. We definitely need a lot to learn and that’s why we still are not developed because our governments are trying to strengthen the hands of the killers of their own people.

Ek hi ullu kafi tha,

Yaha har shakh pe ullu betha hai,

Anjame gulistan kya hoga.

Water cooperation issues and challenges.

Water, water everywhere and all the boards did shrink

Water, water everywhere nor any drop to drink.

Today every society, every nation is confronted with the need to conserve water as only less than 1% of the total water resources are usable to the human beings. Everyone is the today’s world is concerned about the paucity of water resources around the globe.
If we talk about our motherland India, then the situation here is also not too good and there is no denying in the fact that India is also facing the problem of water scarcity. The Union Ministry of water resources has estimated India’s water consumption to be around 1093 BCM in the year 2025 and around 1447 BCM in the 2050 but the reports say that water security in India is moribund.

If we talk about the facts then in India the annual per capita availability of water was 5177 m3   in the year 1951 which reduced to around 1342 m3 in the year 2000 and the National Commission for Integrated Water Resource Development (NCIWRD) has estimated that India is going to become “Water stressed” by the year 2025 and “Water Scarced” by the year 2050.

The main problem that India faces today is that most of its rivers are transboundary rivers coming from different countries like China, Pakistan and Bangladesh and India’s riparian relationships with neighbouring countries like Pakistan, China and Bangladesh are progressively becoming fragile raising continuously raising concerns over regulation of river waters.

China’s aggressive south to north water diversion projects on the rivers that originate from the Tibet region, especially Yarlung Tsangpo(Known as Brahmputra River in India) is opening up a new front of uncertainity in Sino-indian relations as well as the hydrological dynamics of South Asia. China’a proposed dams in Brahmputra river could be a grave danger as 2 billion people in South and Southeast Asia are dependent on water resource of Tibet.
If we talk about Pakistan, then we the same situation continues here. Pakistan, just like other sectors has been hostile towards India in this sector too. Notwithstanding been continuously flouting the rules of Indus River Valley Treaty and has been lodging humongous disapproval of India’s proposed dams and other constructions over the river.
The same thing is there with Bangladesh. Bangladesh has been continuously demanding India to release more than 3000 cusecs of water everyday, a very high and intolerable amount, from the Teesta River.

Now the question comes whether Indian states are free from the problem of water cooperation? As far as my knowledge goes they are and the facts fillip my statement. The situation inside the boundaries of the nation is not good too. Even the states are at disputes at water sharing.

Kaveri river has been a major source of conflict between the Indian states of Karnataka and Tamil Nadu. Karnataka alleges that it does not get its due share from Tamil Nadu of the respecting river while Tamil Nadu pays the argument that it has developed more than 30 lakh acres of land on the banks of river and that’s why it is impossible for it to shed its water to the state of Karnataka.

Krishna river, the second biggest peninsular river in India, which runs for a distance of 404 KM in Maharashtra, 480 KM through Karnataka and 1300 KM in Andhra Pradesh has been a major source of controversy between the aforementioned states and all these states continue to tussle for its lion’s share.
Here are some steps through which these controversies can be resolved:-
1.       Indian government should declare water as a national property.

2.       In the tribunals set up to resolve the conflicts between different states of India under the Inter-State river water dispute act 1956, states should be the only party.
3.       A time frame should be set up in which the conflicts have to be resolved to restrain and debilitate all the hindrances in the path to peaceful cooperation.
4.        Neutral commission bodies should be set up to judge the matter and to resolve the conflicts.
5.       Only expert judges should be made to sit in the tribunals rather than any  politician or political party.
While international front India has a strong need to emend its diplomatic policies and has a strong need to effect a radical change in the overall dysfunctional relationship and invest in long term political linkages considering the sensitivity of water.

Water is the most integral and crucial part of our life and today we have a strong need to do something to save this pivotal resource as life can’t exist sans water.
Cooperation can start from any level but it just needs sincere by we people.
